It’s no secret that staging home can sell it quicker. On average, homes sell for about six percent more when staged. But, staging can be expensive and is not always the most cost efficient method for marketing.
At Yost Group Properties, we advise sellers on an individual basis whether staging is worth the cost. For Luxury properties it’s a no brainier. Stage it. But, if your property is under $300,000 then virtual staging may be a better option.
Virtual staging is when a professional photographer takes pictures of the space and then we virtually place furniture in that space. If done right, it’s hard to tell the difference between actual furniture and virtual furniture.
Actual staging is when furniture and decor is rented and placed in the property while the property is marketed. Many interior designers have staging packages for the purpose of dressing up the property while it is listed for sale.
If your home is already furnished, staging can be accomplished by moving a few items around and decluttering the space. This method is free. 🙂
